I started using drugs at a very young age 15 years old to be exact. I lived in the Florida Keys. The society that I choose to be with found drugs to be their center of excitement. At 17 my family had had enough and said good - bye to me! I then married at the age of 20 and had a son. My abuse seemed to increase year by year. Three years later I lost my relationship and my son.

I started to sell drugs to pay for my habit and the life style that I wanted to live. I thought I had found what I was missing an existences of excitement. I surrounded my self with people that I assumed were my friends. I didn't see that I was encircled by a life of destruction and people that were on the same path of death.

One morning I awoke sick of being sick and at 25 years old I wanted to quit what I was doing and found a detox center. It wasn't enough. I continued to search for help and that is when I found Crosspoint ministries.

At Crosspoint in December of 2004 I found my heart change because I experienced Jesus in my life. There is a refreshing of my attitude and a new outlook a hope that was not there before. I feel I have direction and purpose for the first time. Because of these changes I can see my family coming in to my life again. There is a peace in my spirit that goes beyond explaining.

Finding the Lord and coming to Crosspoint has been the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me.

Thank you Lord for having a place for me that I could go.
